There have been some great updates for #KaleSpotted in the past week or so and the reason they are great is because 1) Kale is starting to be sold in more supermarkets and 2) Kale is starting to be sold in more places outside of Paris! #KaleSpotted map here and thank you for all of your tips!
#KaleSpotted by Marie in the Luberon and produced in the Luberon. *Details to come.
#KaleSpotted by Sharon in Apt, Vaucluse. *Details to come.
#KaleSpotted by Sylvia & Kandice at Bon Marché, La Grande Epicerie in Paris.
#KaleSpotted by Pascal, Kyle & Marianne at Auchan supermarché in La Défense, Bagnolet and Biganos near Bordeaux. It’s so new they do not even have a price for it yet! *Biganos will arrive this Saturday.
#KaleSpotted by Laila at the covered Marché de Passy in Paris’ 16th.
Also in Paris: Marché Anvers & Marché St Quentin.
And on a side note, according to Mom Cafe, “Kale” is the #2 most popular name of hipster parents. (cue my eye roll)

braved a trip to Auchan Bangolet on this holiday 1/11 – it was mobbed, like a Saturday, thank goodness the kale was there so I felt the suffering was worth it – still no price, not on the scale either – addressed the person in the veg department, he went to the scale as he obviously didn’t believe me, and just decided to tag it as spinach! Not sure if I paid more or less, but was pretty happy with 3 bags full at about 1.40 each! Now I’m hoping I can blanch it and freeze it. BTW I had to look hard all over the section, and they’d put it with the salads!!! It is Prince de Bretagne brand as I dug in the case and found a tag, and of course made in France :)

Great news! I told Gerard, the local Lyon farmer, about this! He was excited to go get some and cook with it (until of course we have his!)
