We Love Kale

February 4, 2016 By Kristen

Not long before Grady was due I received an email with an opportunity to contribute to a kale cookbook. Now don’t get me wrong, the last thing the world needs is another kale cookbook. Power team Dr. Drew Ramsey and Jennifer Iserloh more than took care of the job with their hit 50 Shades of Kale and Sharon Hanna has us more than covered when it comes anything you want to know about kale with her The Book of Kale. Then there is the Internet – well I won’t even go there – but it’s safe to say that the online world is kaled-out.

Yet, I’m still part of the kale community and I wanted to be part of some type of kale creation when it came to publishing AND I was honored to have been considered at all. Tasked with ten recipes with a few variations as well as the upfront, it was something I worked hard on before the unknown world of having a newborn. My mom of course thought I was crazy and there I was at 40.5 weeks with a very heavy belly still mixing up kale cocktails and having her and Philip taste them for me.

But now all that is in the past! Grady is nearly one and the book, We Love Kale, was released this week in the UK and the US on February 9th! And I have three copies to giveaway to UK and European readers on this blog, my newsletter and on Instagram.

We Love Kale

I was lucky enough to be paired with four other healthy food and lifestyle bloggers for recipe development. There were definitely a few ideas that I hadn’t thought of and if after a few years, you’re in a kale-eating rut, this will shed some new light!

To enter, leave a comment with the weirdest way you’ve eaten kale. Winner will be picked at random and announced Thursday February 12 at 8pm Paris time.

The book is available on Amazon UK & Amazon US.
