Hudson Clearwater: The Sporting Project Pop-Up

January 22, 2013 By Kristen

It’s good timing that The Kale Project was featured on France’s Paris-New York website right around the time that the New York girls from The Sporting Project had their second pop-up restaurant.

And it was also the second time that The Sporting Project made sure kale was on their menu. The kale and the delicious cocktails on the menu were the two reasons that P & I ventured out into the snowy Paris night sans taxi to check out Hudson Clearwater & TSP.

For those that don’t know, Tara & Jenny are Americans and best friends and recently launched their creative agency to bring Brooklyn culture, music, art and food to Paris and one of the first ways they are doing it is through their pop-up restaurants during fashion week.

The first pop-up this past September, featured The Fat Radish, a Lower East Side establishment that is known for their fantastic preparation of vegetables. This time around, they brought over the clandestine West Village haunt, Hudson Clearwater. As they have transformed Bob’s Kitchen into a trendy Brooklyn spot, the menu must stay vegetarian which is an even better stage for kale incorporation. Plus it’s two restaurants from New York… so of course kale was going to be included.

The Sporting Project has a lot of kale-infused plans for the future – including more pop-ups and they’re also working together with Marc Grossman on the future Bob’s Cold Press, to launch in March.
