Kale education: What’s in a name? A lot. Chou réflex…

When I first launched The Kale Project, I was hesitant that putting the movement out into the world was a mistake. Already after only two weeks, I am so happy that I’ve taken this step with the main reason being that I’m already learning so much from other kale-enthusiasts.

My first learning in kale education has come from reader, “Diana in France.” She has introduced me to an entirely new translation for kale: chou réflex. (Merci Diana!)

And this has led to a new window of research, one of the most important being that there are French seed companies actually selling kale.

Kale for sale in France! Seeds that is.

While this update may not be the step forward you might have wanted to read, it made me feel very hopeful that at least there is a seed company selling more than just savoy cabbage seeds for people looking for kale.

And if you happen to be someone living in France with a garden, this is even better news. Order away and keep us posted on the growth of your kale!
