During the second “season” of kale, it is finally becoming more available outside of Paris. Not everywhere but compared to last year, I can barely keep up!
Aside from the larger grocery stores like Auchan, I am so happy when someone shares a #kalespotted with me of kale being grown by local producers. When Jonathan, the founder of Fraich Market, contacted me about his upcoming “Kale Box” I rejoiced!
Not only do I love everything about the Kale Box because it is helping spread the kale love, I love it because Jonathan is a young guy who went out on a limb and started his own business all around local produce, recipes and cooking our own food
Fraich Market is a small company, started and run completely by the inspiring Jonathan to bring fresh produce to you. Like an AMAP, he works with all local producers to bring you a veggie box but Jonathan is taking it one step further and also working with local chefs to create recipe boxes. You will get fresh, organic, locally-grown ingredients and a recipe for one easy and delicious meal. The kale for the Fraiche Market Kale Box is grown by Saint Remy producer, Michel Dumont.
What is even more exciting is that Jonathan will start offering the Kale Box to all of France starting in March. Price to be determined.
Jonathan and I have teamed up to promote his Kale Box and to help launch this great addition to Jonathan’s exciting business, we are giving away FIVE Kale Boxes to those that live in the Marseille, Vitrolles and Le Pays d’Aix areas.
The Kale Box comes with:
-recipe
-information all about le chou kale
-all ingredients to successfully prepare your chef-approved recipe
If you live in the Saint-Remy/Aix-en-Provence area, leave a comment telling me what your ideal weekly veggie box is and like Fraich Market on Facebook to win your own Kale Box. The Giveaway ends on Wednesday, December 4 at Midnight. **
