A few weeks ago the dudes from Terroir d’avenir opened up their own market shop on rue du Nil, next to Frenchie. And recently they’ve opened up a fish and meat shop as well.
Terroir is already one of the premiere providers for top restaurants in Paris and supplied the kale for the evening at Verjus. So the market shop is just an extension of their offerings to the public. I love the variety of heirloom vegetables in the wooden crates. When I’m in shops that look like that I always feel like I’m in an episode of Sesame Street.
Concerning their kale supply, for the next few weeks they do have a curly, green variety that will be harvested. Since the weather is so cold at the moment and their farmers are new growers of kale, there might be some days where kale is not cut and delivered.
As with Le retour à la terre, I recommend you call to check on supply before heading out to the shop.

Awesome. I’ve been looking for their phone number everywhere.

Oh good. Glad to help. It took me awhile to get it from the guy that works there. I personally don’t find Terroir to be that responsive. Customer service for sure is not their expertise.
