I returned from the States bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ready to head to Monsieur Vincennes’ farm to see the kale progress and provide an update for all of you. My husband even took a day off of work to go with me since we all know I would need a bit more help with the language part.
We gave him a call yesterday to confirm our visit and unfortunately he told us that he’s had a family emergency and has not even been to the Vincennes market for the past month. We’re not sure of the details but he seemed extremely distracted and we did not talk long.
So we won’t be making the journey to his farm tomorrow and while I of course hope that everything works out with his family, I must admit I am disappointed.
That said, have no fear! The kale was planted at least a month ago and I know it’s been growing. And if it means me heading out to his farm to harvest it myself and bring it into Paris for the time being… well I guess I better get my overalls ready to head into the dirt!
Any one want to join?!

I would like to join you, please. I will be wearing dock siders, jeans and pearls, but I’m eager to get my hands dirty harvesting Kale a la M Vincennes
